UA:PBC has announced that MARUV will not represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Israel.

After the negotiations that could not happen between the singer MARUV and UA:PBC, it is confirmed that MARUV will not be representing Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Israel.

On Saturday’s Vidbir 2019 Final, after MARUV’s performance, Jamala (Eurovision Song Contest 2016 Winner) asked an uncomfortable question:

“…….. Welcome to Tel Aviv! So, I have a very uncomfortable question for you. Crimea, Ukraine?”

MARUV answered: “Ukraine, of course.”

After the investigations being done by UA:PBC, there were many conditions that could result MARUV’s musical career in a negative way.

As a result, UA:PBC confirmed that MARUV will not be representing Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Israel.
